As most of you are aware, most devices are not invincible and tend to unfortunately die off after some use, but today I wanted to discuss how to take some preventative measures and ensure it lives longer.
Pen Form Devices
The majority of the devices that are in pen form either short or long battery are the first that I’m going to talk about. These are some the devices that die the fastest and the most. Like the eStick, Kanger, Amigo, Vision Spinner and the many more devices that come in this form mostly have to be taken care of properly because they are more unstable than people think. One way to ensure the protection of these devices is to first make sure that when you first open the battery don’t use it but charge it fully so that you can get longer battery life and a more reliable vape time.
Next you want to make sure that the connection to the battery and to the clearomizer, atomizer, and or tank/rebuild is clean of eLiquid, resin or build up of gunk to ensure that the power is making 0 voltage drop to the top device. Next you want to make sure that the device can handle the top you put on it because if it can’t handle the resistance limitations it will either not run or attempt so hard that the battery breaks.
One of the biggest problems people face is the button when you use it repeatedly there will be some wear but what you want to focus on is how you press it. Unless you push it evenly and in the middle, the edges can start getting caught and even damage the push button board. When these devices are being charged you want to make sure you do it through the wall port because I know many are tempted with the USB charging port but I have seen too many of these devices break because of that charging method.
The next type of devices I would like to touch base on are the higher end batteries / mods because these are important to protect because more than the battery can be affected by a mishandled mod battery.
With these devices you want to be sure that first you charge these batteries to the fullest before use because like the other devices you’ll get a reliable lasting battery as well as a better treated charge. Next you want to make sure whatever device your using which way they prefer the battery to be inputted into the device. Unless there is battery protection , if that battery goes in wrong and you try to use it you will be looking at a melted device sooner than you realize your device is working by itself. Some of these batteries don’t come marked so its always important to know what side is positive and what side is negative. For any of the 1800 sized batteries, the positive side is going to have a concave look to it with a white ring or black ring around the concave top piece that is your positive. For the negative side this generally is an even round clean piece that sits flush on the connection.
I know that some people don’t pay attention too much to the way the battery is made. What I find to the be the solution to this, is from the shop to make sure you write in the plus and minus sign on the battery pieces. As long as you follow these ways of protection you can ensure better battery life and battery reliability with your devices.
